Q: Uploading a Word Document

A: If you have a Word document on your computer which you plan to use as a template for generating these letters, click on 'Browse'. You can then select that document and upload it to Spiderlink CRM for generating your letters. Make sure to include the proper field names in your document for generating the letters. You may use the following field names in your document: {FirstName}, {LastName}, {CompanyName}, {Address}, {City}, {State}, {Zip} These field names will be replaced by the coresponding fields from your contacts when the letters are generated. You can also use the {Date} field anywhere in your document which will be replaced by today's date. The {Signature} field can also be included in your document which will automatically be replaced by the 'Signature' box in your My Settings Menu screen. These same fields can be used for generating emails. If you wish to save this template on the server for future use, enter a meaningful title in the text box provided. The template will then be saved in your MyDocuments\Letters directory on the server so that you can use it again in the future.
